Three more babies conceived this month with our help. That's a total of 29 babies so far in 2011.

Three more babies conceived with a little bit of help from Irina, fertility acupuncturist, making the total of 26 babies conceived so far this year!

Preliminary results ofr 2011 are in. Thanks to Irina Szmelskyj's expert knowledge of acupuncture for fertility and assisted reproduction, 23 babies have been conceived in 2011 and counting. We recently said goodbye to Pam Ferris who has retired. Pam worked mainly in Godmanchester and she will be missed very much by both staff and patients. We now have Carolyn Smith working in Reception in both Godmanchester and St. Neots alongside Carol Collett and Sue Parnell.

Stacy Chaitoo, a registered osteopath, joined the practice and will mainly work at our St Neots branch. Stacy is a very competent practitioner and is experienced treating wide range of conditions.

January 2010
We are pleased to announce that in January 2010, Stephanie Negal, a reflexology, Indian head massage and reiki practitioner will join our team. She will be working at our St Neots branch.

December 2008
Irina Szmelskyj gains status as a Zita West affiliated acupuncturist after completing postgraduate seminars in Acupuncture for Fertility and Pregnancy with Zita West. This further enhances Irina's existing knowledge in acupuncture for reproductive health and conception.

February 2008:
Alan Szmelskyj presents at the Advancing Osteopathy 2008 Conference at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, London. The topic of the presentation was "Stress and the role of palliative stress management in fibromyalgia". The presentation is due to be published in the International Journal of Osteopathic Medicine.

November 2005
Irina Szmelskyj wins the 2005 British Acupuncture Council Research Excellence Award.

Irina's research into treating insomnia by acupuncture was considered to be the best “example of the standard of work that can be achieved” according to Professor Nicola Robinson, Chair of the British Acupuncture Council Research Committee. She also described Irina's research as "an excellent piece of work which was so beautifully presented”.

This is the second time that Irina's research into the acupuncture treatment of insomnia has been singled out for praise. In January of 2005 Irina was awarded the top honours from the Northern College of Acupuncture and University of Wales for achieving the highest mark of all students submitting their Master of Science in Acupuncture degree thesis in 2004.
