January 2010
We are pleased to announce that in January 2010, Stephanie Negal, a reflexology, indian head massage and reiki practitioner will join our team. She will be working at our St Neots branch.

December 2008
Irina Szmelskyj gains status as a Zita West affiliated acupuncturist after completing postgraduate seminars in Acupuncture for Fertility and Pregnancy with Zita West. This further enhances Irina's existing knowledge in reproductive/ fertility medicine gained over the years.

February 2008:
Alan Szmelskyj presents at the Advancing Osteopathy 2008 Conference at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, London. The topic of the presentation was "Stress and the role of palliative stress management in fibromyalgia". The presentation is due to be published in the International Journal of Osteopathic Medicine.

January 2008
No fee increases for osteopathy and acupuncture this year, our attempt to help patients who may be struggling with higher interest rates

April 2007
Sadly, due to health reasons, Alison Kelly had to leave our practice. Georgina Bull has taken over Alison's role in the practice.

November 2005
Irina Szmelskyj wins the 2005 British Acupuncture Council Research Excellence Award.

Irina's research into treating insomnia by acupuncture was considered to be the best “example of the standard of work that can be achieved” according to Professor Nicola Robinson, Chair of the British Acupuncture Council Research Committee. She also described Irina's research as "an excellent piece of work which was so beautifully presented”.

This is the second time that Irina's research into the acupuncture treatment of insomnia has been singled out for praise. In January of 2005 Irina was awarded the top honours from the Northern College of Acupuncture and University of Wales for achieving the highest mark of all students submitting their Master of Science in Acupuncture degree thesis in 2004.

January 2005
Irina Szmelskyj wins The Northern College of Acupuncture 2005 prize for achieving the highest mark in MSc dissertation.

November 2004
Irina Szmelskyj
awarded her MSc in Acupuncture with Distinction by The Northern College of Acupuncture and The University of Wales.

September 2004
Alan Szmelskyj awarded his MSc in the Psychobiology of Stress and Stress Management from the Department of Life Sciences, University of Surrey.
