Electroacupuncture 
Electroacupuncture is very similar to traditional acupuncture. It is often used in the treatment of painful conditions. As in ordinary acupuncture, very fine sterile needles are inserted into specific acupuncture points. Then small clips from a device that generates small electric pulses are attached to the needles. The device is then turned on and small electrical pulses pass through the cables and the clips to the needles and then to the area where the pain is.
Patients undergoing electroacupuncture will experience a slight pulsating sensation. Most patients find this to be a pleasant sensation.
Electroacupuncture complements and enhances the effects of traditional acupuncture and is particularly effective at treating pain. Electroacupuncture can also be used in Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture.
